The Clean Air Foundation is proud to be working Hydro One as part of the Power Saver Tour to deliver the Cool Shops program in the Hydro One territory.
Goals:
- Visit 225 businesses
- Audit 225 businesses
- Distribute 450 CFLs
- Distribute 225 LED exit sign bulbs
- Encourage the purchase of CFLs
- Encourage the purchase of PAR / BR CFLs
- Yield peak demand reduction of 27 kW
Results:
- Over 300 businesses visited
- 250 energy audits completed
- 669 CFLs distributed
- 174 LED exit sign bulbs distributed
- 433 CFLs purchased by small businesses
- 190 PAR / BR CFLs purchased by small businesses
- 60 kW of peak demand reduction

Peter Hoogendam is the President of Reliable Home Furniture in Brockville and also owns Riverwalk Mill and Audiotronic. He was visited by the Hydro One Power Saver touring team who also delivered the Cool Shops program. Mr. Hoodendam made some significant changes after being visited by the Cool Shops team. He went on to purchase over $500 worth of energy efficient lighting which will reduce his energy costs significantly! |
