Several local distribution companies have partnered with the Clean Air Foundation to bring their respective cities the Cool Shops Program. Cool Shops is a low-cost, high visibility program of its kind in Canada that promotes energy efficiency and conservation measures to small businesses. Cool Shops received an Energy Efficiency Advocate Award from Natural Resource Canada in 2005.

2008 Deliverables
Cool Shops will be conducting free energy audits as well as:

• giving free compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and LED exit light bulb replacements,
• giving and installing free pre-rinse spray valves (for restaurants),
• giving energy conservation tips and advice,
• providing discounts off of energy efficient products (CFLs, T8s, LED exit sign lights, additional pre-rinse spray nozzles, etc), and
• providing free marketing through window/door branding decal, exposure on Cool Shops website, and in local and national newspapers and magazines.
