Mow Down Pollution – 2001 Results

The 2001 Mow Down Pollution pilot program ran May 11-13 and May 18-20, 2001 at Home Depot Curity Avenue in East York, Ont. and May 11-13, 2001 at Home Depot Coquitlam, B.C. Sixty-three mowers were exchanged in all, 22 in Vancouver and 41 in Toronto. We had great support from all of our partners including Home Depot, Black and Decker, Ontario Power Generation, the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, the Greater Vancouver Regional District, ABC Recycling, Mohawk and Fred's Fix-it Depot. The lessons learned from 2001 have given us great expectations for an expanded program in 2002.
